These were the first concept recordings for the War Story series, which is themed around the second World War in its entirety. The initial idea was to record and release a regular series - for which these recordings were made - but the concept was then changed into a different direction; instead, each War Story tape was recorded 1:1 onto a recycled tape, and this master tape was released by itself, in (thus) an edition of 1. It was also stated that those who received the tape were free to use, abuse, rework, release the material whichever way they saw fit. So far, four War Story tapes have been released. Obviously, none of them - or copies of the recordings - are in my possession.
